I have an absolute LOVE for aviation and flying. I started working on my private pilots license, but my priorities changed after finding out my wife and I were pregnant with twins. I was ecstatic when I realized I could combine my love for aviation and photography by flying drones. In 2017 I obtained my Remote Pilot Rating with the FAA, which allows me to fly drones commercially for hire.
Shooting video or still photography with a drone adds breath taking views to clients photography needs. The drone can provide my clients a unique perspective for their photography needs and allows me to reach areas that would normally be inaccessible. Whether you want your property surveyed, real-estate, damage assessment, media, or aerial shot for your next film scene, I am available to help in away way I can.
Safety is my number one priority with any project. Before each flight a sight survey\walk through will be conducted to identify problem areas. Also, before each flight a safety check of the drone and equipment will be conducted to ensure the aircraft is safe to fly. Weather is also a key factor and will be monitored closely before and during each flight. If safety or weather is an issue, the flight may need to be rescheduled until it can be safely completed.
Drone photography requires a little pre-planning. When flying a drone, the operator has to pay special attention to airspace for the safety of all aircraft and persons in those aircraft. In accordance with FAA and United States Code, some areas may require a waiver from the FAA to fly in. This process can take up to 90 days and there is no guarantee that it will be approved. Also there are certain areas of the country that are off limits to unmanned aircraft such as National Parks, near certain military installations, disaster areas, and areas with temporary flight restrictions such as a stadium during a sporting event. Upon contact, I will take a look at the area you are requesting and I will notify you if a waiver is needed.
I have two different aircraft available. I have a DJI Phantom IV and a DJI Inspire 1. The type of project and area will determine which aircraft is used.
Due to the uniqueness of each videography/photography project, the rate is dependent of each individual project. Please click on the “Contact” link for a quote and to start the planning process.
